Day 2 – Winter Base Torres Trek

We’ll pick you up from your accommodation at 5:30 a.m. Our early departure allows us to avoid the crowds that typically begin the trek from Puerto Natales later in the morning.

After approximately 1.5 hours by vehicle, we’ll arrive at the Laguna Amarga Entrance, where we’ll enter Torres del Paine National Park (park tickets must be presented). From there, we’ll continue for another 30 minutes to the parking area at the Las Torres Reserve Welcome Center, the starting point of our trek.

We’ll begin hiking between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., allowing us to experience the iconic Base Torres Viewpoint in a quieter and more peaceful setting. During the first two hours of the hike, we’ll use headlamps before sunrise.

For the descent, we’ll take advantage of natural daylight, as the return hike is often the most physically demanding part of the journey, ensuring a safer and more comfortable experience for our travelers.

After approximately 2 to 2.5 hours of hiking, we’ll take a short 10-minute break to enjoy a snack, rehydrate, and use the restroom before continuing through a beautiful lenga forest toward the base of the moraine. From there, we’ll be just one kilometer from the Base Torres Viewpoint, followed by approximately one hour of uphill hiking.

It’s important to note that the famous granite towers only come into view upon reaching the end of the trail. This spectacular viewpoint—Base Torres Viewpoint—is the ultimate destination and highlight of our journey.

We’ll return to Puerto Natales at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Day 3 – Grey & Serrano River Kayaking Adventure

We’ll pick you up at 7:30 a.m. and head toward the Serrano sector. The meeting point is Bigfoot Base Camp in Villa Serrano at 9:30 a.m. (departure times may vary depending on weather conditions).

We’ll enter Torres del Paine National Park with our vehicle and kayak trailer, making our way to the Pingo River launch site.

Before setting out, our guides will provide a comprehensive safety briefing onshore. We’ll then launch our kayaks and begin paddling along the Pingo River toward the Grey Lake Peninsula. From there, we’ll continue downstream on the Grey River for approximately three hours, finishing our journey at Grey Bridge, where a well-deserved lunch awaits.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Paine Grande and the iconic Cuernos del Paine.

The itinerary may be adjusted according to weather conditions without affecting the overall duration of the excursion, always ensuring the safest possible experience while allowing you to enjoy the extraordinary natural beauty of Torres del Paine National Park.

After lunch, we’ll transfer you to Estancia Cerro Guido, where you’ll enjoy dinner and your overnight stay in the heart of Patagonia.
