Strait of Magellan & Cape Froward

The Strait of Magellan is a land shaped by the Indigenous peoples who developed their cultures in close harmony with the forces of nature. The Selk’nam, Kawésqar, Yahgan, and Aónikenk peoples lived in balance with the extraordinary landscapes of these southern latitudes. It was also the setting for the earliest maritime expeditions, as explorers searched for a navigable passage connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
